Sarida made a huge mistake following Boruto to the Stone; this not only allowed Shikidai to shine, but showed that she lacked proper leadership; that being said, because it all worked out, and thanks in part to the Leaf's (re: Kakashi's motto), the end had justified the means... she got lucky.

I knew it was gonna be shikadai ,just like shikamaru he alone got promoted
